IMPACT 2026 Conference Recap

AIC-BC would like to thank everyone who joined us for IMPACT 2026, held May 7-9 in Vancouver, BC. Over the course of the conference, industry leaders, partners, and professionals came together to share insights, explore emerging trends, and engage in meaningful discussions shaping the future of the appraisal industry. We hope the conversations, connections, and ideas shared made this a valuable experience.

Beginning with a reboot of the Candidate Symposium, AIC-BC set a strong foundation in 2022 which set the bar high for 2026!

 

The Symposium’s focus was to offer expert guidance, practical advice, and meaningful connection with leading AIC-BC members, staff, and peers from around BC.

Keynote Speaker

Jay Kiew, Innovation and Change Navigation Strategist started off the full conference day with and inspiring talk about leading through change and disruption, drawing on both his extensive experience driving large scale organization transformation and his personal journey as a cancer survivor. His message focused on resilience, adaptability, and equipping leaders with practical strategies to navigate uncertainty and accelerate meaningful change.

Throughout the conference, 27 speakers delivered timely insights on the forces shaping the appraisal profession today, from housing policy, land use, and economic conditions to industry disruption, evolving professional practices, leadership and the future of valuation in a rapidly changing market.

Member Recognition Awards

The Member Recognition Awards & Networking Reception gave us an opportunity to recognize some amazing Members and their achievements with the NextGen, Outstanding Mentor, Chapter & Community Leadership, and Keith Goodwin Awards.

Post Conference Walking Tour 

The conference closed with an optional walking tour of downtown Vancouver, exploring the city along a 4 km route that featured many points of interest including the Marine Building, The Post, and Butterfly/First Baptist Church redevelopment.
