
Member Recognition Awards
AIC-BC’s Provincial Conference, IMPACT 2026, will close with a Member Recognition Awards & Networking Reception—honouring the achievements and contributions of our dedicated Members as volunteers and appraiser professionals. The event will feature the presentation of the 2025 Keith Goodwin Award and introduce three new 2026 honours: the NextGen Award, Outstanding Mentor Award, and Chapter & Community Leadership Award.
Nominations closed on Friday, April 10th, 2026.

Keith Goodwin Award
The KEITH GOODWIN AWARD is presented annually by AIC-BC to recognize a designated member for outstanding service, leadership, achievement, education, or mentoring. The award is named after AIC-BC’s past Provincial and National president, Keith Goodwin, who personifies these attributes.
Iain Hyslop was named the 2025 Keith Goodwin Award recipient. The 2025 Keith Goodwin Award was announced by AIC-BC President, Andy Pham, P.App., AACI at the AIC-BC’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025. AIC-BC is pleased to congratulate Iain on his accomplishment and looks forward to presenting him with this esteemed recognition at the 2026 IMPACT reception.

NextGen Award
The NextGen award recognizes a newer AIC-BC Member who is already making a meaningful impact within the appraisal profession and/or the AIC-BC community. This award celebrates those shaping the future of the profession individuals whose early contributions signal long-term leadership and influence.
Eligibility

AIC-BC Candidate Member for five (5) years or less
Award Criteria

Exceptional professionalism and integrity early in their career

Commitment to and actively progressing toward designation

Demonstrated early career engagement and professional growth

Active participation in AIC-BC events, Committees, or Chapter initiatives

Leadership potential and a forward-thinking mindset

Contributions that positively influence peers or elevate the profession
Outstanding Mentor Award
This award recognizes Designated AIC-BC Members who has made a meaningful and lasting contribution to the profession through mentorship, guidance, and the sharing of knowledge. This award celebrates individuals who actively support the development of Candidates, Students, and peers, helping to advance professional excellence and strengthen the future of the appraisal profession. Through their generosity of time, expertise, and encouragement, recipients of this award help elevate standards, foster professional confidence, and contribute to a culture of learning and collaboration within the profession
Award Criteria
Nominees demonstrate impact through one or more of the following:
Mentorship & Professional Development

CHAPTER & COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award recognize AIC-BC Member whose dedication and leadership have strengthened their local AIC-BC Chapter and elevated the appraisal profession through meaningful engagement within their appraisal community and industry. This award celebrates Members who influence the profession where it begins — at the grassroots level — by fostering Member connection, supporting professional development, and building relationships that enhance the visibility and credibility of the appraisal profession.
Eligibility
AIC-BC Candidate, Designated, or Retired Member
Award Criteria
Nominees demonstrate impact through one or more of the following:
Chapter Leadership & Engagement

Meaningful volunteer leadership at the Chapter level

Contribution to successful local events, education sessions, or networking initiatives

Efforts that increase Member participation, engagement, and collaboration

Support and mentorship of Candidates and newer Members

Positive influence on Chapter culture and professional connection.
Community & Industry Engagement

Active engagement with external stakeholders such as municipalities, financial institutions, legal professionals, educators, or industry associations
