Josh is an experienced assessment professional with more than 17 years at BC Assessment. He holds the AACI, P.App designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada, which he earned in 2014, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of the Fraser Valley.

Josh began his career with BC Assessment in residential appraisal, developing a strong foundation in property valuation and market analysis. Over time, he advanced into Industrial, Commercial, and Investment (ICI) case management, where he specialized in assessment appeals and represented BC Assessment in proceedings before the Assessment Appeal Board. In this role, he gained extensive experience in complex property assessments, evidence preparation, and quasi-judicial hearings.

Most recently, Josh has taken on the role of Manager of Assessment Legal. In this position, he oversees assessment-related legal inquiries and assignments, providing leadership and strategic guidance on matters involving legislation, appeals, and legal processes related to property assessment.
